Convert ODT to PDF free online
Pick an .odt from LibreOffice or OpenOffice and download a PDF ready to share. Nothing is uploaded.
This tool needs JavaScript enabled in your browser to work.
Warming up the conversion engine…
100% private — your file is processed on your device and never uploaded to any server.
Works well with files up to ~50 MB or 300 pages (depending on your device's memory).
How it works
Three steps, all on your own computer or phone.
Choose your .odt
Drag the file in or pick it from your device.
It runs in your browser
The document is read and the PDF is built locally, with no server involved.
Download your PDF
You get a PDF ready to send, print or archive.
From LibreOffice to PDF without leaving the browser
LibreOffice can already export to PDF, so why use this? Because sometimes you have the file but not the program: on a borrowed computer, on a phone, or on a machine where you can't install anything. This tool needs nothing but a browser.
As with every conversion here, the .odt is read and the PDF is generated on your own device. The document never reaches a server, which is what you want for anything with personal or contractual data in it.
If your file is a Word .docx rather than an .odt, use Word to PDF instead — same idea, different input format.
Frequently asked questions
What is an ODT file?
ODT (OpenDocument Text) is the open text format used by LibreOffice Writer and OpenOffice Writer.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. It is read and converted inside your browser, and never leaves your device.
Will the PDF look identical to the ODT?
For text documents it is very close. Complex layouts, embedded images and elaborate tables can shift, since the PDF is built by a lightweight browser engine.
Do I need LibreOffice installed?
No. That is the point of this tool: it only needs a modern browser.
